Economy’s Impact On Indian Aviation

As India's GDP continues to rise, the aviation sector in India has become one of the fastest growing in the world. The growing GDP has led to a rise in disposable income causing a sharp growth in air travel. The evolving airscape of Indian aviation is held by more Indians flying than ever.
The increase in domestic markets, opening spaces for more air routes and increasing flight frequencies has opened the scope of employment in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities across the Indian landscape. Creating new tourism hubs in the Indian territory, leisure travel in Tier-2 and Tier 3 cities has also seen a significant growth. Empowered by better economic conditions and stronger economy, the middle class have proved to be a sharp increase as travellers year on year.
IRHPL’s significant presence in airports across the country has been a strong testament to the rapid growth. With focus on gifting, sweets and various other products, there is a strong relevance of the store’s location at the airports also. Every brand wants their presence where
the footfall is high.
As the Jewar Airport comes in its final stages and launches soon, it becomes a place of interest for many similar initiatives, thus giving a boost to the aero as well as non-aero initiatives in the industry. Our concepts like The Olfactive & Art Port have come out to be personal testimonial to the major growth in regions in and around the airports. Another boost to aviation has been the ever-growing international travel from the Indian subcontinent. More foreign airlines entering the Indian market and domestic airliners expanding, airports have become a global hub to showcase our cultural heritage.
A strong backbone has been the growth in the infrastructure. While it struggles to keep par with the demands, it is significantly catering to the growth. Going towards an upwardrajectory with the government initiatives, the challenges have acted as a stepping stone in
the aviation industry.
